FREE OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHTS ON TYBEE ISLAND
Movies are shown in Tybee’s Memorial Park, which features an enclosed playground, restrooms, and picnic pavilion. |
There is ample parking on Butler and at the Jones Street entrance to the park, which is centrally-located enough that many families on the island, both residents and visitors alike, walked or rode bikes to join the festivities.
Movies are scheduled for the third Saturday in June, July, and August at dusk. June 20 selection is The Lego Movie; July 18 is Big Hero 6; and August 15 isEarth to Echo. All movies are rated PG. The city even takes the extra step of spraying the grounds for bugs prior to show dates. |
